4×2 HDMI 2.0 Matrix Switcher with Optical & Analog Audio Extraction

Most 4×2 HDMI matrix switchers route video without addressing the audio — leaving integrators to add separate audio extractors for every zone. The KanexPro HDMX42A-18G solves that directly: it routes any of four 18Gbps HDMI sources to two independent displays while simultaneously extracting audio via optical Toslink (S/PDIF) and analog L/R outputs — no external extractors required.

Compliant with HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2/1.4, the HDMX42A-18G supports 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG pass-through across both outputs. Per-output 4K?1080p downscaling allows mixed-resolution display environments without additional hardware. ARC support extracts return audio from connected ARC-enabled TVs to the optical output. Three-position EDID management (AUTO/COPY/STD) and front panel + IR control make it a compact, integrator-friendly solution for education, hospitality, and conference room installations.
