Bluetooth to Dante Wall Plate, 1-Gang US, PoE
Two Phones or Laptops onto Your Dante® Network from One Wall Plate
Puts guest Bluetooth audio straight onto a Dante® or AES67 network at the wall, with no separate receiver, no analog hop and no second power supply. The AUD-DTE-WPBT is a US 1-gang wall plate that runs on a single Class 0 IEEE 802.3af PoE drop, or a local 12V DC supply where the switch does not provide PoE. It draws 1.8W at most and connects up to two Bluetooth 5.1 phones, tablets or laptops at the same time. It is the right choice for huddle rooms, classrooms, function rooms and fitness studios where a fixed, controllable BYOD audio point on the Dante network matters more than analog I/O.
The plate decodes SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Low Latency and aptX HD and sends the audio out as Dante at 44.1 to 96kHz, with device latency set to 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10ms in Dante Controller. It also supports AES67 RTP transport for non-Dante systems. It has a configurable Bluetooth name, call or media bridging and an 8-band parametric EQ per channel. In RelayAV, the KanexPro control app, you set its Bluetooth volume and mute, open the pairing window and manage pairing, and set the input gain, mute and stereo settings. RelayAV does not route its Dante audio: Dante routing is set in Dante Controller. The TCP/IP and Telnet API gives a control system volume (0 to 100), mute, track and play/pause control, and reports the connected devices and the track now playing. The strongest differentiator is that the room stays under the integrator's control: each plate can carry a room-specific Bluetooth name, pairing closes automatically after a set window, and two presenters can stay connected and hand over without re-pairing. 12V DC power adapter sold separately.
- Dante® network wall plate for Bluetooth input in a standard US 1-gang format
- Bluetooth 5.1 with SBC, AAC, aptX, aptX Low Latency and aptX HD codecs, at 44.1–48kHz and 16/24-bit
- Up to two Bluetooth devices connected at the same time
- Switching between connected Bluetooth sources: audio moves to the second device when the playing device pauses or disconnects
- Configurable Bluetooth name of up to 24 bytes, so users in rooms with several plates can find the right one
- Pairing window adjustable from 30 to 300 seconds (60 seconds by default), or open pairing with no time limit
- Front-panel PAIR button with blue status LED for pairing, clearing pairings and returning to default status
- Bluetooth volume adjustment from 0 to 100, with mute and linked or independent left/right control
- Previous-track, next-track and play/pause control of the Bluetooth source
- Artist, album and track information displayed from the audio source
- Bluetooth format display showing the codec in use
- Selectable audio bridging: call audio, media audio, or both
- 8-band parametric EQ per channel with parametric, low-pass, high-pass, low-shelf and high-shelf filters; EQ settings can be copied, exported and imported
- Input gain adjustment from -12dB to +12dB in 0.1dB steps
- Dante® sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88.2 and 96kHz
- Dante® device latency of 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10ms, set in Dante® Controller
- AES67 RTP audio transport
- Class 0 IEEE 802.3af PoE, so any PoE switch can power the plate
- Local 12V DC input on a 2-pin Phoenix connector for switches that do not supply PoE (adapter sold separately)
- Control from the front-panel button, in RelayAV (Bluetooth volume, mute and pairing; input gain, mute and stereo), or over TCP/IP and Telnet
- DHCP or static IP addressing, with configurable TCP port, Telnet port and host name
- Bluetooth firmware updates through the USB-C service port
