8×8 HDBaseT Matrix Switcher with 4K60 & CAT Extension (70m)

The KanexPro MMX-8X8CAT-70M is an 18Gbps 8×8 HDMI matrix switcher with simultaneous mirrored HDBaseT CAT outputs, designed for professional AV installations that require flexible, long-distance signal distribution from a single rack location. It connects eight HDMI 2.0b sources to up to sixteen displays at once — eight via direct HDMI and eight via CAT6 extension to the included PoC-powered HDBaseT receivers, reaching up to 230ft (70m) per run. A single CAT6 cable carries the full 4K60 4:4:4 signal and simultaneously powers the remote receiver via 12V Power over Cable, eliminating the need for a separate power supply at each remote display location.

Every output supports resolutions up to 4K2K@60Hz (YUV 4:4:4) with 18Gbps uncompressed bandwidth, full HDR format pass-through (HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG), and HD audio including LPCM 7.1, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD Master Audio, and DTS-X. An independent 4K-to-1080p downscaler on each output allows mixed-resolution display environments without additional hardware. Advanced EDID management, CEC display control, and one-way IR matrix routing complete the signal chain. The matrix is controlled via front panel buttons, IR remote, RS-232 serial, TCP/IP LAN, or a browser-based Web GUI — compatible with Crestron, AMX, and other third-party control systems.

Ideal for conference rooms, classrooms, control rooms, digital signage networks, and multi-zone AV distribution where sources must reach displays across a floor or building without running multiple HDMI cables.
