The KanexPro AUD-DTE-ECODE Dante 2CH Analog Audio Encoder is an audio transmitter based on the Dante Ultimo solution.
It supports balanced/unbalanced audio input and 3-level gain adjustment. It encodes audio signals, and
then transmits the audio to the receiving end through network (Dante). It supports POE function.

The Dante Powered 2-Channel Line In Audio Input Encoder with POE bridges two physical analog inputs into a robust Dante/AES67 network stream, delivering professional-grade sound over standard Ethernet. Designed for flexible installations, it supports both balanced and unbalanced sources and can be powered by a DC 12V supply or through Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af Class 0), reducing clutter and simplifying deployment in racks, ceilings, or backstage.

Key capabilities that solve real-world needs

  • Two-channel analog input supports both balanced and unbalanced connections (unbalanced uses the + and GND lines), making it compatible with a wide range of studio gear, mixers, and AV players.
  • Varied input gain with three precise settings: +18 dBu, 0 dBu (default), and -10 dBV, enabling you to match source levels to downstream equipment without extra adapters or inline attenuators.
  • High-fidelity digital transport uses Dante with AES67 RTP audio transmission, ensuring interoperability across IP-based audio networks and excellent reliability for live sound, broadcast, and install environments.
  • Flexible sample rates and depth supports 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, and 96 kHz at 24-bit, delivering the dynamic range and headroom required for music, speech, and multi-zone installations.
  • Powering choices for clean deployments choose a DC 12V supply or leverage PoE for clean cabling and fewer power supplies, ideal for integrated AV setups where network switches and power over Ethernet simplify installation.

Ideal use cases

  • Live venues and corporate events where analog sources (vocals, instruments, lecterns) need to feed a Dante network for live mixing, recording, or broadcast feeds.
  • Houses of worship and educational facilities that require scalable, IP-based audio routing without running separate audio wires to every room.
  • Multi-zone venues and installations that benefit from centralized routing, where Dante-enabled mixers, recorders, and DSPs share a common IP backbone.
  • Broadcast and production environments needing a reliable, low-latency bridge from analog inputs to digital networks for easy integration with IP-based workflows.

How it fits into your workflow

Connect your analog gear to the input jacks, select the appropriate gain to avoid clipping or noise, and link the encoder to your Dante network via PoE or a DC supply. Using Dante Controller or compatible control software, route those two channels to your mixers, endpoint devices, or recording systems. The result is clean, scalable IP-based audio distribution with precise gain control and flexible input options.

Why this solution stands out

  • Interoperability baked in: AES67 RTP compatibility means you’re not locked into a single ecosystem, allowing seamless integration with diverse Dante-enabled and AES67 devices.
  • Simple deployment with PoE: Power over Ethernet reduces cable clutter and enables flexible placement without a dedicated power supply for each device.
  • Direct, hardware-based gain management: three fixed gain positions align with common pro and consumer gear, minimizing the need for external attenuators or preamps.
  • Two-channel focus, high fidelity: Dedicated two-channel input path preserves audio quality while enabling precise routing in complex installations.
